DEBYE SCREENING IN THE HOT NON-ABELIAN PLASMA
2007
High Energy Physics
The Debye mass m D is computed nonperturbatively in the deconfined phase of QCD, where chromomagnetic confinement is known to be present. The latter defines m D to be m D = c D √ σs, where c D ≈ 2 and σs = σs(T ) is the spatial string tension. The resulting magnitude of m D (T ) and temperature dependence are in good agreement with lattice calculations.
