Photoacoustic study of collisional effects on rotational relaxation processes induced by infrared multiphoton absorption
1994
Journal de Physique IV : Proceedings
The novel experimental approach is applied to investigate the cross sections for rotational relaxation crror.-rel. in the SF6-Ar mixtures irradiated by pulsed CO, laser line. The applied method is the pulsed photoacoustic technique, and it is based on proposal for ~~~~. -~~l . determination by transmission spectroscopy technique. The collisionalJ&ects have been investigated for the 0,l-0,s J/cmZ laser fluence range. Also, the collisional effects on rotational and translational temperature (T,) for SF6-Ar mixtures have been calculated.
