The working conditions of the composite materials used to produce machine parts lead to different forms of wear. The fact that, for example, for a a kinematic coupling with sliding motion is often used a material with higher hardness (cast iron, steel) in combination with a material with a lower hardness (a composite material) there is the possibility of wear through abrasion and local plastic deformations.
