Comparison of Quality of Life between Hill and Plain among COPD Patients by using SF-36v2 Health Survey Questionnaire

Objective: The health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of patients with chronic disorders is frequently impaired. The main aim of the study is to assess the health related quality of life among COPD patients of Hill and Plain region. Material and Methods: The study was conducted in two different regions of northern states, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) and Patiala (Punjab). 100 Patients diagnosed with COPD were selected randomly (n=50 from Shimla and n-50 from Patiala). Result: The main finding of this study was that there was a significant difference in various domains of physical component score at p<0.05. Conclusion: Health related quality of life among COPD patients of Hill was better than patients of Plain.
