E-commerce Adopting TOE Model by SMEs in Jordan

The objective of this research is to study the technology, organization and environment factors, which affect e-commerce SMEs in Jordan. This research is drive by the fact that e-commerce is still a long way behind the acceptance by large firms, especially in developing countries such as Jordan. However, companies, like SMEs, are forced to engage in e-commerce, to survive in this new economic era of knowledge. The findings of a survey of 121 small and medium-sized businesses in Jordan suggest that SMEs have the greatest possible effect on e-commerce adoption, on technical preparedness, management support and government support. The beta value is measured, and the R2 value is 0.691, reflecting 69.1% of the variance of e-commerce. Study contributions and outcomes are discussed, along with limitations and future recommendations.
