The article deals with the results of study of structural and functional indexes of the cardiovascular system and kidneys, pancreatic β-cells function, severity of insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity against arterial hypertension. Direct correlation was established between the structural and geometric indexes of left ventricular myocardium and diastolic dysfunction and the level of albuminuria, insulin resistance, duration of diabetes mellitus and hypertension, level of systolic blood pressure and glycated haemoglobin, waist circumference in these patients.
