The truffle is a niche food able to guarantee a good level of income to farmers, obtained both in afforestated surfaces and in wild forestry predominantly located in many European countries such as Italy, France and Spain. Specific measures financed by the European Union have improved truffle production through several actions able to support the afforestatation of agrarian surfaces by planting of mycorrhizated trees with black truffle.
