THE STATE JUDICIAL COUNCIL IN CROATIAThe State Judicial Council is a constitutional body in Croatia. In accordance with the Constitution, the Council consists of eleven members elected for a four-year term of office: seven judges, two professors of legal sciences and two deputies to the Sabor, one of whom must be a member of the opposition. Members of the Council from among the judges are elected by the judges. The procedure of its selection and competences are regulated in detail by the Act on the State Judicial Council.
