Analyses of 248 Cm fission product ␥-ray coincidence data recorded at Gammasphere have yielded additional information about ␥-ray cascades in Nϭ82 isotones 134 Te and 135 I. New-yrast and near-yrast states in both nuclei have been identified, and they are interpreted as specific shell model excitations.
