Conjugates of aspirin have been prepared which are able to stimulate antibody production in rabbits and sensitize guinea pigs to fatal anaphylactic shock. In addition, the indirect hemagglutination technique has been modified so that tanned sheep red blood cells treated with aspiryl-conjugates are able to combine with antibodies in the serum of individuals clinically sensitive to aspirin and para-aminosalicylic acid.
