Resumo: A seleção de formas dêiticas de segunda pessoa e de nomes, títulos determina a atitude do falante na atribuição de valores de deferência ou familiaridade de acordo com a identidade social dos participantes e as circunstâncias sociais da interação. O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar essas formas de tratamento como reflexo da estrutura social, particularizada pela representação do domínio militar, que se caracteriza por ser uma organização fortemente hierárquica de poder e autoridade.

... O material de análise é uma seleção de 475 tiras de uma história em quadrinhos, intitulada Zé, o recruta biruta, também conhecido, em outras histórias, por Recruta Zero. O método de abordagem consiste no levantamento de todas as relações diádicas entre iguais e entre superior e subordinado, com as respectivas formas de tratamento que foram detectadas na interação verbal simulada, distinguindo-se, por um lado, dêiticos pronominais na função de sujeito e, por outro, nomes e títulos na função de vocativo, por outro. Os resultados mostram que relações simétricas requer o uso de formas recíprocas de tratamento enquanto relações assimétricas, o uso de formas não recíprocas. Abstract: The selection of deictic forms of second person and of names and titles determines speaker's attitudes in assigning values of deference or intimacy according to the social identity of the participants and the social circumstances of the interaction. This paper aims at investigating these forms of address as a reflection of social structure, particularly represented by the simulation of the military domain, which is characterized for being a strongly hierarchical organization of power and authority. The linguistic material analyzed is a sample of 475 comic strips from a translation of Beetle Bailey by Mort Walker. The method consists in statistical processing of all dyadic relations between equals and between superior and subordinate, with their respective forms of address, having been distinguished, on one hand, personal pronouns in the subject function and, on the other hand, names and titles in the vocative function. The results show that symmetrical relations yield the use of reciprocal forms of address and that asymmetrical relations yield the use of non-reciprocal forms. Some special situations violate the general expectation predicted by normative rules of the military domain.
