... spectively were selected randomly. There were 30 students in the both classes which were randomly divided into the experimental and control groups. For this purpose, a pretest-posttest design with a control group was used. The Beaufort's self-regulation questionnaire was used to collect the data of the study. After confirming the face and content validity of the questionnaire, its reliability was calculated through Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.85. The analysis of covariance and ETA coefficient were used to analyze the data. é Finding: The findings showed that thematic memorization of the Holy Qur'an promoted 34.8% of students' self-regulation. é Conclusion: Therefore, it can be said that the level of students' self-regulation can be improved thanks to the memorization of Divine verses and familiarity with the Holy Qur'an.
