In order to know the time of wound healing and regeneration on mantle of Atrina vexillum, 30 indivuals of Atrina vexillum were collected from the coast of Arakan village, Tatapaan Distric, Minahasa Selatan Regency. A distal portion (1x1 cm) on mantle from the left shell of each individual was cut off after the organisms were anasthetized using 1-Phenoxy-2-propanol. Two individuals were sampled every 1, 3, 6, 12 hours and 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 days and the ex-wounds were cut off for histological

The result showed that the healing time of the wound started from three to twelve days of the observation and mantle regeneration was first detected from twelve to twenty four days of observation; then there was no mortality recorded during this study. Untuk mengetahui waktu yang diperlukan dalam penyembuhan luka dan regenerasi pada bagian mantel Atrina vexillum, sebanyak 30 individu Atrina vexillum, dikoleksi dari pantai Desa Arakan, Kecamatan Tatapaan, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan. Pelukaan pada bagian distal mantel cangkang kiri setiap individu sebesar 1x1 cm dilakukan setelah semua kerang dibius menggunakan anestesi 1-Phenoxy-2-propanol. Dua individu kerang disampel dari daerah pemulihan pada 1, 3, 6, 12 jam dan 1, 3, 6, 12 dan 24 hari setelah dibius dan bagian bekas luka dipotong kemudian diuji secara histologis di laboratorium. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa penyembuhan luka dimulai pada tiga hari sampai dua belas hari pengamatan, regenerasi mantel mulai terdeteksi pada dua belas hari pengamatan sampai dua puluh empat hari pengamatan dan tidak ada satupun individu yang mati selama penelitian.
