The statistical moment-based damage detection method with approximate parametric solutions of the stationary second-order moments of the response is proposed for damage detection of a bridge. The method is based on an approximate explicit solution recently proposed by the authors, which allows to explicitly relate second-order moments of the nodal displacements and velocity to the structural stiffness.
