With the intention of getting a share from the lands of Ottoman Empire, which was in disintegration period, The French were in the search of politicial and military alliance with the Armenians that were then Ottoman Empire's residents. As a result of this alliance, The Armenians were in French Uniforms and fought together with the French in 31 battlefronts such as Adana, Antep, Maraş, Haçın (Saimbeyli), Syria, Lebanon, Caucasus, Serdarabat, Salonica, Monastir and Dardanelles between 1914 -1918
... between 1914 -1918 and 1920-1921 When researched extensively, the reasons why the Armenians and The French have been in close collaboration can be seen. It can be said that the two nations get together for different reasons. The former want to establish a separate Armenia, whereas the French, in accordance with their imperialist aims, see Armenians as soldiers fighting for France and this fact has been stated clearly on the monument they erected. Our paper aims at evaluating the search for an alliance towards the sharing of Ottoman Empire, the formation and the results of this alliance through the confessions of the French, Russian, and Armenians. On the other hand, the population of The Armenians in Anatolia, who were alleged to be subjected to genocide, and the reasons why they fought in a lot of battlefronts will be examined carefully within the scope of French resources.
