The BTN mode with the nematic LC with Δ>0 is known as one of the bistable LCD modes. The pretilt angle on the substrate is a low pretilt angle in this mode. In this paper, the BTN mode with the LC with Δ<0 was investigated. This type of the cell has a pretilt angle with almost normal to the substrate.
