A linear tetrapeptide L-Gly-Leu-Phe-Pro (L-GLFP), the sequence of which has been derived from the natural anticancer cycloheptapeptide Wainunuamide. The tetrapeptide has been synthesized by solution phase technique using TBTU/Et 3 N in chloroform and was characterized by spectral analysis. Molecular docking using HEX software resulted in a good score for cancer receptor 2IOI. The synthesized compound was subjected to antioxidant, anticancer, antitubercular and antimicrobial activities.
