... ts. After five weeks of the project, only two students have dropped the course and one of those was because of health reasons. The course prerequisites require that students have previously completed a course with an emphasis on materials and on the basic mechanics of materials involving stress, strain, and deflection. Most of the students are also taking the one-credit manufacturing processes laboratory course which has experiments in traditional machining, metal casting, welding and CAD-CNC machining.
