: To identify the cause of cerebral embolism, we performed transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in patients suspected of embolic brain infarction including transient ischemic attack (TIA). We analyzed TEE findings and investigated factors associated with left atrial thrombus (LAT) detected by TEE.
