This dissertation offers a posthuman and ecocritical analysis of three works – Marcovaldo, Palomar, and Le cosmicomiche by Italian writer Italo Calvino. It explores the potential of moving beyond anthropocentricism and into a hybrid space in which human and nonhuman life coexist and collaborate.
