Time-Spending Behavior by Pedestrians in Public Spaces
Public spaces in urban area should be "third place" for gathering diverse people. It is one of solutions for a contemporary problem of disintegrated community. This article looks at Marunouchi Naka-dori Street where is located OMY district, in the central area of Tokyo. This study specially focuses on movable chairs as primary element and considers about ways of making comfortable places. It figured out time-spending and behavioral patterns by users through a field survey for actual condition
