Any attempt to analyze the human rights discourse is confronted with the complexity of the related terminology. Independent of the wide range of already existing rights, there are numerous efforts aiming to formulate a generally applicable theory of rights. These are supposed to provide an answer on the normative questions like: Who should have rights; what are these rights supposed to consist of; resp., what do we need the rights for?
