The goal is to obtain a general picture of dangdut music development in Indonesia currently. Source used is secondary source that is literature and audio source and video. The data will be analyzed and dissected using the approach of musicology and cultural studies, and presented in the exposure with descriptive qualitative method. The results of this research are expected to produce an explicit note in the development of dangdut music today, as well as cultural issues inherent in its development.
