The results also pointed out the absence of statistically significant differences in the provided social support due to the variable of gender and the non -existence of statistically significant differences in the level of self -esteem due to gender in all dimensions except for the physical dimension and the emotional dimension where the differences came in favor of the males among the blind in Jordan. Based on these results, the researcher recommends the necessity to urge and guide the general and private sector institutions to provide all types of support to the blind to reduce their suffering, facilitate their incorporation in society and raise the level of self -esteem among the blind in Jordan.
