Comparative study of corrosion of aluminum alloy AlSi25 used in the automotive industry
2022
AIP Conference Proceedings
The present paper presents the results of a study of the corrosion behavior of an AlSi25 aluminum alloy used in the automotive industry. The study was performed in a simulated marine and industrial environment at room temperature. The corrosion rate of the tested compositions was calculated by the gravimetric method. The results show that in the marine and industrial environment with increasing amount of phosphorus in the studied alloy AlSi25, the corrosion rate increases.
