To this end, in the workplace, knowledge must be updated in organizations continuously to improve performance and achieve and maintaining social assets. To achieve this advantage, higher learning institutions must take into consideration to plan according to the process of knowledge management as an essential component at universities. The study investigated the lecturers' perception of importance of knowledge management in a quantitative research in a public university in Malaysia. This paper aims to review the literature on this research which put emphasis on knowledge-sharing, organizational learning, and knowledge management in the globalization age. To end with, some findings of the research based on literature are demonstrated as a planned vision in higher education.
