Volume Changes of High-grade Iron Ore Pellets Reduced in a Fixed Bed under Isothermal and Non-isothermal Conditions

Synopsis The volume change of h(gh-grade iron ore pellets reduced in a fixed bed under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions was investigated. It was fo und that under isothermal reduction conditions, the volume change was highl)' temperature dependent and abnormal swelling (greater than 20°o volume increase) was observed at temperatures above 850' C.
