While complete neck clipping of ruptured cerebral aneurysms prevents rerupture, recurrent subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) due to the rupture of an aneurysm at the same sites of the previous aneurysm may occur, even if no residual neck was detected during and after neck clipping.
