Development of Community-Based Interventions: The Philippine Experience

Even as urbanization is linked to modernization and economic growth, it is also associated with crowding, population density, poverty, the lack of basic services and infrastructures and violence all of which put the urban poor at risk for climate rated risks and danger. It describes the common challenges in the implementation of community-based interventions. It also highlights the importance of community based mental health interventions in addressing the needs of the urban poor.
