1648 were notified up to September, 35 being foreigners, mostly Russians. Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Breslau, Kehl, and Strasburg furnished most of the cases. In Luxemburg a few instances came under observation, and at Losser, in Holland, an outbreak comprising 34 cases was observed. During the first half of 1913 there were 81 notifications of smallpox in Belgium. It is difficult to get precise information as to this disease in France, but it is known that a fatal outbreak occurred in Marseilles,
