C 28 H 22 MnN 2 O 4 ,monoclinic, C2/c (no. 15), a =27.070(8) Source of material MnL 2 (L =3 -methylbenzoate, 0.1002 g, 0.33 mmol) was suspended in MeOH/H 2 O(15 mL, V/V =1:2) to form amixture solution. Separately, 1,10-phenanthroline monohydrate (0.1006 g, 0.5 mmol) was dissolved in 15 mL MeOH/H 2 O(V/V=1:2) and added dropwise to the mixture solution. The resulting solution was stirred for approximately 1h and the insoluble solid was filteredoff.The filtrate was allowed to stand at room
