Exact solution and Majorana zero mode generation on a Kitaev chain composed out of noisy qubits

Majorana zero modes were predicted to exist as edge states of a physical system called the Kitaev chain. Such zero modes should host particles that are their own antiparticles and could be used as a basis for a qubit that is to large extent immune to noise - the topological qubit. However, all attempts to prove their existence gave inconclusive results. Here, I experimentally show that Majorana zero modes do in fact exist on a Kitaev chain composed out of 3 noisy qubits on a publicly available
