This paper reports the dimensional change behavior of nickel based superalloy Alloy 693. Alloy 693 is a newly developed gamma prime ( ') precipitate hardened Nickel-Chromium-Iron-based alloy. The nickel-based alloys play an important role due to the unique combination of strength oxidation and corrosive properties. The alloy is a high temperature corrosion resistant alloy. Alloy 693 achieves its strength due to the formation of few nanometre sized particles of the gamma prime phase which cause

One of the physical properties, the thermal expansion coefficient is the subject of our study. The thermal expansion coefficient of the alloy 693 has been determined using a dilatometer and high temperature X-Ray Diffraction techniques in the temperature interval 50 °C -1100 °C. The transformation from disordered FCC to ordered FCC takes place with the increment of temperature. The obtained results are compared with theoretical work. In this paper, a detailed examination of alloy with temperature will be discussed
