EMS Induced Intersegmental Non-Homologous Interaction in Cuminum cyminum L

One plant of translocation heterozygote has been isolated from ethyl methane sulphonate (EMS) treated population sets on a morphological basis in cumin, Cuminum cyminum L. The meiotic analysis in the plant showed the preponderance of ring quadrivalents along with five bivalents in pollen mother cells (PMCs) at metaphase I. Various multiple chromosomal associations along with rings and chains were also observed with some univalents and bivalents. Pollen fertility of the plant reduced
