The Clariid species, Clarias gariepinus is native to Africa and one of the most cultivated fish in the world. The aim of this research was to evaluate the genetic diversity of this fish from selected places of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu of south India, using Clarias macrocephalus microsatellite DNA markers.
