This review will discuss the clinical, neurosonologic, and neuroimaging features of uncommon causes of stroke (cervical artery dissection, Takayasu arteritis, patent foramen ovale-stroke, Moyamoya disease, and sickle cell disease) and review current diagnostic methods. diagnose or predict the prognosis of uncommon causes of stroke (cervical artery dissection [CAD], Takayasu arteritis [TA], PFO-stroke, MMD, and SCD).
