We describe two cases of congenital subglottic stenosis due to cricoid cartilage anomalies. They had congenital stridor and their laryngoscopic findings showed extremely narrow airway in the posterior subglottic space. They were performed emergency tracheotomy because of dyspnea in neonatal period. Their following growth and development are excellent. In Japan only nine cases have been reported from1988including our two cases. All of them developed into dyspnea in neonatal period. Six cases
