The research of the rating agency "RIA Rating" -"Rating of the socioeconomic situation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation", which includes its own methodology for assessing factors and their impact on the socioeconomic development of the region, is presented. The methodology for assessing the investment climate of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, used in compiling the National Rating of the State of the Investment Climate in the Subjects, is considered.
