Fractures of distal end radius represent approximately 16% of all fractures treated by orthopaedic surgeons. ... er 2014 were collected for the O.P.D hours and some as an emergency in casualty. General condition of the patient was assessed and associated injuries were excluded. Detailed history of the patient was taken with emphasis on the time since injury, history or massage etc. X-rays of the injured wrist were taken. Result: Type II injuries were more frequent [41.37%] than any other type. In 76.47% cases, GA was used for fracture reduction. that majority of cases (75.86%) had 4 weeks of plaster immobilization. Patients were treated by below elbow cast with forearm in pronation and various wrist positions. Satisfactory results (Good and Excellent) were seen in 71.26% of patients. Frykman's type II were having excellent result i.e. 06 out of 12 excellent result. The satisfactory results were almost comparable in each wrist position except slightly better position in neutral group. In Other Methods of treatment Above elbow cast used in 08, Percutaneous 'k' Wire fixation in 04, External fixator in 04 patients. In other methods of treatment majority of the patients with Above elbow cast were having Excellent result i.e. 05 out of 16. Conclusion: It can be concluded from our study that Type II injuries were more frequent. Satisfactory results (Good and Excellent) were seen in 71.26% of patients.
