Objective: Describe the parents' perception of their fatherhood during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Methods: it's a qualitative study, which the data were collected through a semistructured interview with 30 parents who had their children born in a public hospital. The thematic analysis followed Minayo's theoretical framework.
