Study on Dihydric Alcohols containing Ether Linkage. V
1977
Journal of Japan Oil Chemists' Society
Triesters containing two ether linkages were prepared by the acylation of triol, which was synthesized by the reaction of ehtylene glycol with epichlorohydrin. These triesters were evaluated as plasticizers for poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) by comparison with dioctyl phthalate (DOP) or dioctyl adipate (DOA). They were superior to DOP in low temperature flexibility, and equal to or superior to it in tensile properties.
