Hydrogenation of carbon monoxide to olefins catalyzed by bis(2,4-pentadionate)cobalt-lithium aluminum hydride system in liquid phase
1984
Journal of the Japan Petroleum Institute
The catalytic activity and selectivity of the Co(AA)2 (AA=2,4-pentadionate)-LiAlH4 system in tetrahydrofuran-tetralin for hydrogenation of CO were investigated in a 100ml batch reactor This catalyst system is active for hydrogenation of CO and produces linear hydrocarbons whose distribution has a maximum at less than C6. This system further shows a high selectivity for olefins, 85%. Supporting this system on silica gel causes a great change in the product distribution which has the maximum at C10.
