The influence of surfactants to the stability of coal water suspension
2014
Periodica Polytechnica: Chemical Engineering
In this work a coal-water suspension with containing of 30% (mass) coal was investigated. Obtained coal-water suspension was stabilized by sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and oxyethylated alkyl phenol (ОP-10). A wettability isotherm of coal surface by surfactants, optimal regime of coal dispersion, adsorption isotherm, viscosity, fluidity and heat of combustion of 30% (mass) coal-water suspension were determined. Obtained results allow to recommend 30% coal-water suspension stabilized by surfactants as a fuel.
