Examining the Moderating Role of Self-Esteem in the Link Between Experiences of Perceived Sexist Events and Psychological Distress

Perceived sexist events are recognized as stressors that are linked to psychological distress for those who experience such events (E. A. J. K. Swim, 2001) . In this study, personal self-esteem was examined as a moderator of the relation between perceived sexist events and psychological distress for a sample of 104 young women.
