A hierarchically organized system is based on the predictive coding model of neural function in which a primary purpose of neural interactions is to minimize prediction error by masking. Neural data suggests that this is not a simple continuum and that non-clinical odd beliefs may be mediated by a striatal system which is distinct from the cause of pathological delusions in right frontal cortex. In psychotic subjects it was referred on so called "divided Self", which are interpreting themselves

The goal of translational medicine (TM) is to combine disciplines, resources, expertise, and techniques within these pillars to promote enhancements in prevention, diagnosis, and therapies. Accordingly, TM is a highly interdisciplinary field, the primary goal of which is to coalesce assets of various natures within the individual pillars in order to improve the global healthcare system significantly. It results in general knowledge and understanding of nature and its laws.
