The ecohydrological approach is based upon understanding and integration of processes which regulate water and biota dynamics at catchment scale. Such an approach has recently been applied to the restoration programme of a eutrophic reservoir, by integrating classical methods with those of landscape ecology and recent advances in biogeochemistry at catchment scale.
