2011
Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing
This work introduces an alternative approach to designing ambient intelligent environments by using a multi-agent system consisting of agents that represent inhabitants (humans, animals, plants, and objects) of the environment and physical devices (sensors and actuators) that control and monitor the environment. Inhabitants are able to compromise their own needs for the betterment of the environment as a whole. This synergy creates a balance where each inhabitant potentially receives
