Peindre et photographier à quatre mains Une lecture croisée de René Magritte et Paul Nougé
2014
unpublished
This article takes as its point of departure the importance of collaborative work and creative collaboration in Surrealism and proposes a comparative reading of two visual masterpieces : a painting by Magritte ("Time Transfixed") and a photography series by Nougé ("La Subversion des Images"). The interpretation does not only rely on intertextual aspects of these works, but also on certain characteristics of the Brussels Surrealist group.
