Efficiency and safety of cefotiam in 16 serious infections associated with hematological disorders were studied. Effectiveness was obtained in 10 cases(62.5%). Efficiency of cefotiam was significantly poor in cases with neutropenia(<500/mm3). Adverse reactions were not seen except for 2 cases with chronic hepatitis.
