Globally the use of social media has significantly increased and it certainly has far reaching impact on the academic and allied activities of the students. The questionnaire was handed over personally by researchers to 150 UG and PG student teachers and 148 filled questionnaires were received back. The analysis of the data collected is presented in the form of tables and charts followed by its interpretation. Majority of student teachers prefer social media to find useful information/re-sources and students agree that the social media tools are very much useful in pursuing their academic activities.
